J. Renee Moneyhun, M.D.

J. Renee Moneyhun, M.D. has once again been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctor rating. She continues to focus on providing her patients with quality care.

Dr. Moneyhun received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Virginia, graduating summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and as an Echols Scholar. She completed her internship in general surgery and her residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.

Dr. Moneyhun’s residency at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital and over 20 years of experience in private practice has earned her the reputation of being among the leaders in the field of otolaryngology in the metropolitan area.

Dr. Moneyhun was board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in 1994. She is a member of numerous medical societies and organizations including:

  • The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
  • The American Medical Association
  • The American College of Surgeons
  • Montgomery County Medical Association
  • Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society
  • Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honor Society

Dr. Moneyhun feels it is important to have good communication with her patients and spends time giving personal care to all of them.

In her spare time, Dr. Moneyhun enjoys watercolor painting and gardening. She is married to a physician and has two children.
