Aging, sun damage, and skin trauma can cause skin imperfections—unevenness, brown spots, spider veins, redness, and more—to appear over time. Fortunately, laser skin treatments can ameliorate such skin damage. But what is laser skin treatment? Also called laser skin therapies, these non-surgical treatments remove epidermal blemishes and reveal smooth, elastic, bright skin. ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery offers comprehensive treatment options so you can choose the one that suits your needs best.

Below, we discuss laser skin treatments available to our clients:

LimeLight® IPL Photorejuvenation

The Cutera® Limelight Photofacial uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to rejuvenate skin. This treatment pulses light through the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen production and reduce blood flow to broken capillaries.

Precise light pulses allow technicians to target specific areas that need treatment, including marks, spots, veins, and more. Although slight redness may appear after the procedure in the areas that received treatment, your skin soon regenerates to reveal a brighter, smoother complexion.

IPL treatments are safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I through IV. We recommend a series of 4 treatments to realize the best results. Moreover, we advise waiting 2 weeks between each 30-minute session, though no downtime is required.

Laser Genesis

Cutera’s xeo® Laser Genesis is a non-ablative laser treatment for skin aging reversal. The laser collapses blood vessels and shrinks pores to minimize acne scars and acne-related redness. Moreover, the therapy promotes cellular collagen production, through which the skin heals itself.

By stimulating the skin’s natural regeneration process, the treatment spurs patients’ bodies to correct acne and other skin imperfections over time. Eventually, patients end up with blemish-free, radiant, youthful skin.

Laser Genesis is safe for all skin types on the face, neck, chest, and hands. Although you may experience some mild redness, you can return to your daily life after each 30-45-minute treatment. Expect visible results after 4-6 treatments.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser Skin Treatment Potomac MD

Our Cutera xeo® 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser provides an innovative solution for those looking to achieve long-term hair reduction. Its gentle yet effective light energy targets each hair follicle and prevents regrowth. Moreover, the treatment is safe for all skin types, and sessions require neither downtime nor significant discomfort. After a few treatments, you will enjoy marvelous, enduring results.

Laser Varicose & Spider Vein Therapy

Reduce visible varicose and spider veins on your legs and face for radiant, flawless skin. After just 1 or 2 treatments and minimal downtime, you can safely diminish the appearance of unsightly veins. That said, do not have large varicose veins treated with this method, and individual results vary. Speak with your aesthetician about your vein therapy options.

Our PEARL® Fractional laser treatment can restore a youthful, luminous complexion with minimal effort. This treatment heals skin blemishes like discoloration, wrinkles, and uneven texture stemming from sun damage and aging. PEARL® laser therapy is suitable for light- to medium-tone patients who want healthier-looking skin in just 1 session.
